Dr. Thy Nguyen, D.C.
I grew up in the great state of Michigan and have spent the last few years practicing in Alabama. I am so excited to be back in my home state and look forward to becoming an active member of this wonderful community.
My husband and I have a wonderful journey together that began in middle school and continued through high school, where we became sweethearts. After dating over a decade, we got married in 2022 and we are blessed with our beautiful daughter Emmy in 2023. We also adopted a 6 pound chihuahua name Bambi.
My family is from Vietnam, and they came to America in the early 1990s. Both of my parents never had the chance to go to school, which is why I value education and see it as a privilege. When they arrived in America, not knowing the language or culture, they had to rely on the community to help them stand on our feet. Now, I have the chance to help my community in the way I know how, and I am so honored to do so.
I am committed to providing the highest standard of chiropractic care, and I look forward to meeting you. Together, we will work towards your health and wellness goals.
Upon graduation, I began my college career at Western Michigan University where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. During my time there, I worked closely with D1 athletes and knew the importance of preventive care. I wanted to continue promoting health or preventing problems from occurring and that's when I became interested in Chiropractic. I discovered that chiropractic is more than just neck and back pain, it's about achieving optimal health through a holistic way. I proudly furthered my education at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where The Founder of Chiropractic, DD Palmer, performed the first adjustment.
During my time at Palmer College, I studied a variety of adjusting techniques because every patient is different and needs their care to be modified to best suit them. I also dedicated my time as a clinical teaching assistant and as a radiology intern.
My education and clinical experiences have given me a great opportunity to learn to care for a wide variety of conditions from which my patients may suffer. Some conditions I had seen and had success with are headaches, vertigo, torticollis, stiff joints, knee pain, pregnancy support, constipation and sciatica.
Each patient is unique, and so is their healing journey. I prioritize understanding the individuas' needs, concerns, and lifestyle of each patient to create personalized treatment plans. Also focusing on preventative care to reduce risk of future injuries and illnesses.
