When you arrive at our office, our receptionist will greet you warmly as part of our family. We’ll ask you to fill out our new patient forms, which help the doctor understand your health history and current condition. You’ll then have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your specific health concerns and needs. Meanwhile, our staff will be busy verifying your insurance benefits.
Here’s how your visit will proceed:
1. Consultation with the Doctor: You’ll start by discussing your health-related issues, concerns, and potential treatment options with the doctor. This initial consultation allows the doctor to understand your condition, expectations, and how chiropractic care can help you achieve your goals.
2. Chiropractic Examination: Following the consultation, the doctor will conduct a comprehensive chiropractic examination. This will include tests of your range of motion, reflexes, and flexibility, as well as standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical assessments. Rest assured, no procedures will be carried out without your consent.
3. X-rays (if needed): Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays to get a peek "under the hood" at areas of your body that are causing you pain. X-rays help us develop an effective treatment plan and identify any serious spinal conditions. Many patients find it insightful to see their X-rays and may even recognize their misalignments or degeneration.
The initial examination and X-rays provide valuable information, guiding how we tailor your adjustment to best meet your needs.
At your second visit, the doctor will give you a detailed report of all findings from your exam and will show you your x-rays.
We begin by reviewing your medical history and symptoms to identify the source of your discomfort. Our X-ray provides a detailed view of your joints, helping us quickly assess misalignments, abnormal curvatures, healed fractures, or other issues causing your pain.
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and x-rays, the doctor will discuss recommendations and notify you if Chiropractic care is right for you or your condition requires care with other providers.
At the conclusion of the Report of Findings, you’ll also have the option to begin your first treatment at the end of the visit. Our goal is to ensure you’re comfortable and ready to benefit from Chiropractic care.
